Life throws a loop

Hi folks,

I'm Emelie's daughter, Angie. She asked me to post for her. On Saturday she missed some stair steps, fell, and broke her leg. She had surgery on Sunday. She is doing well, got out of the hospital today and is in transitional care in her home town just to get some strength back and some good physical therapy. So she has time to plan all sorts of new face ideas in her head while she heals some. Thanks for all your well wishes in advance.

Oh Emelie...I am thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery! Make sure you do everything the therapists say. I know first hand they are a blessing in disguise! You should NOT have had your head so full of art, but rather concentrating on walking down those stairs ha ha!! Think loads of artful thoughts while you are on those pain killers! Then while you have your leg put up, you get to do nothing but play art for a long while.... how nice!! See there is good in everything! Rest and play art and get better soon Emelie! Sending you hugs across the miles.

Oh my Dearest Emelie, what an awful loop!!! I will be thinking of you and so thankful for Angie posting for you. Soon enough you will be able to sit and read blogs and paint faces and not have to think about anything else. You know... no guilt for dirty floors and dust bunnies and all those dreadful chores. I am so sorry that this has happened especially at this time. I know there is not "good" time for these kinds of life loops but somehow at the holidays seems hard. Hugs and blessings to you and your family. I am thankful for you.

Oh Emelie--I'm so sorry--but just think of all the art you'll be able to do while you're leg heals. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember--let your body heal itself--don't overdo it!!

My goodness, Emelie. I've missed you, and am sad to hear of your fall and broken leg. It's got to be difficult to be away from home, especially during the holidays, and I hope it will only be a short time before you're back home and doing well. I also hope you can have a sketchpad and/or your art journal with you, to sketch all those artful ideas that come to mind, so you get them down, and then concentrate on your therapy! I will miss you, and look forward to hearing that you're home safely, and well on the way to a speedy recovery. Please take care! Big Hugs ~~ Jeanne
