Rainy Day Woman

This is how it was in the garden today, birds everywhere as the children were leaving the nest. There was a minor bright spot in the sky, but rain and rain things are molding and there are different toad stools everywhere. Which reminds me of the time I was taking the daughters to school, one of them had a science project of diffeerent fungi. I looked over at it as she was holding it so careful to not destroy it, There were worms coming out of the fungi, and I drove right in the ditch, because I was stunned and looked away from the road too long.
the school bus was right behind us, it stopped, picked us up, let me off at the station to get a tow truck and took the kids to school.

Anyway I heard the song on the radio, "Rainy Day Woman" and the painting got started.
I am pleased with this face, think I can do it larger tomorrow? Suppose to rain again.

I also picked the first quart of strawberries. Wonderful, but they are self- destroying also from too much rain.

Wow, Emelie,I'm sorry that you're having too much rain now. We're used to the rain here--we never get major downpours. It just usualy rains here within a 4 day period all summer or if not, then just overcast skies looking like it's going to rain. You can't plan anything here, because the weather is always changing no matter what the forecast may say.
BUT anyway, your creating wonderful art,and your weather is helping inspire you. When Sharon's class starts is when the weather will be nice and sunny--so don't worry :)

This is a wonderful piece and the name is perfect. I also really love your card of thanks! The face is lovely(O: Great story about the toad stool and the ditch, it's right out of a movie. We artists tend to get distracted by visual things don't we(O:

Really nice, and I love the name. I always forget to listen to music while I paint... I'm usually watching a chick flick or something. Great idea.
