A Bat, Pickles, Flowers and Me.

This will not be a long winded post, this bat was on our ceiling fan all day today, he thought he was at the carnival and the ride had shut down.

A few Days ago I made pickles, the jars look a bit like someone has been eating them, because they have.

One of my favorite flowers Clarissa Sage, with hydrangea.

How can one spend so much time taking photos, altering some of them and getting them ready for the blog. I enjoyed every minute and I enjoy your visits, even when you don't say a word.

Hi Emelie. How did a bat get on your fan?? How scary. They do scare me. I made pickled cucumbers and they came out great. I didn't post about it though. You are right, it does take time taking pictures to do a post that is going to house pix. It is a lot of work. I enjoy it do but it is taxing sometimes. I feel the same as you, even when I don't get comments it's okay because it's my journal of sorts and I have all my blog books to show for the time I have spent on here. Keep doing what you do because you do it beautifully. Take care.

You are so good at altering these photos!! Love the one with YOU in it.
We would get a bat in the house a few times a year in the middle of the night--waking up to a nightmare instead of waking up from one--but we found where they were getting in--so far so good....

Yuck bats! They really are harmless little creatures. Best left in a cave somewhere though. Your pics are great. And I bet your pickles are too!

I haven't made pickles in years!!! And how I loved them.....my jars would look the same.....snacked on!!! You must have a special place of comfort and peace for that bat to make him or herself at home.....LOVE your photos and the way you have manipulated them....you always have such pretty flowers!! I have been absent for a while on the blog....I have been being still and praying for up coming decisions in my life with downsizing....and a REAL retirement!....except in the art area.... Have you grown any coxcomb?....I saw some dried at a friends and wondered if I could grow it.....then dry it....beautiful stuff....the Spanish call it "Mano de Lion"....Hand of the Lion....since it looks like a paw!! yak, yak,....love your gardens....!!!
